My ATP often crashes around 9:30am and 4pm - as if they are booting people off the platform to save their back end systems. I worked for Fidelity from 1992 to 2002 - they treated me well but I can no longer fully recommend them due to this crappy platform.
Agree with all the comments complaining about a degrading of ATP. Now freezes up all the time, closes down suddenly, only randomly seems to give you the 'safe your changes' option when switching between layouts. When it works, and when it used to not have these contant glitches it's a great trading platform for my needs. I am not a day trader but I do trade daily. It is gotten to the point, however, where I am looking around for an alternative.
I agree, it's slow to load and my screen freezes when market opens and closes. I called help desk. They made me reload the program, same issues. They've made some changes recently that caused the problem. They said just going to have to live with it.
Been using this for years. Been bulletproof forever until the last year. It freezes when market opens and other times as well. Can't tell you how many "control,alt, delete, end task" I have had to do.Wish I wasn't dependent on it. Slow to load also.
Day by day this product is becoming unusable on windows 10. Crashing at least 5 times a day. Teribility slow on 16 GB latest i7 desk top. - Not ture Fidelity has 64 bit yet. It used to be very stable and good.
Agree with others. Fidelity Active Trader Pro 9.6 was their last good trading platform. The version 10.x is terrible. Hard to believe that they would invest in such a bad product as a follow up.
I'm also fed up. Wasting time every day tweaking. Getting nothing for months of responses to surveys. Getting nothing for a problem identification and nothing for suggestions.

Yes, it's New Coke. I can't look at it for more than 5 minutes. Not worth a new machine. Not worth wasting time telling them what we need since they'll just change it again arbitrarily. We already told them what we needed and we had it.
They are treating us like employees instead of customers. I'm giving them 'till summer to wake up and fix it, then I'll be reluctantly moving on.
Fidelity made a big software design mistake: only the customers pay for it. Its version 10+ is terrible, very limited, huge bandwidth requirement, no testing, no agreement made with existing customers, just forced off a working platform that was functional to a terrible limited product that is falsely advertised and an upgrade but is huge down grade with with much less real world functionality, can not trade on unless want to make mistakes and trade wrong date, get no accurate data back on trade or quotes, this is the worst platform ever, avoid if you can.
